Flood in Bolivia
Torrential rain in Bolivia has caused flooding responsible for the death of almost 40 people since the end of January. It is estimated that as many as 50,000 people have been affected.
The departments of La Paz, Beni and Pando in the central and northern areas of the country have been particularly affected by the flooding in addition to landslides causing further destruction.
21,000 people have been evacuated following the loss of their homes and an estimated 6000 hectares of crops have been destroyed.
