危地马拉滑坡

2015年10月1日晚，暴雨引发的山体滑坡发生在瓜地马拉的圣卡塔琳娜库埃，山体松动掩埋了部分城镇。此次灾害造成至少161人死亡，超过300人下落不明。

救援人员开始挖掘工作寻找被困在树木覆盖的房屋中和高达12米的碎片中的幸存者。大约1800名士兵和当地居民参加了救援工作。

官方宣布该地区约230人被转移。瓜地马拉国家减灾委员会（康莱德）说因为有水渗透，他们发现山顶有裂缝，这将会增加未来再次发生泥石流的可能性。
