Tropical Cyclone Kajiki in Laos (lao People's Democratic Republic)
Laos is bracing for impact as Tropical Cyclone Kajiki weakens from a typhoon to a tropical storm while moving westward from Vietnam on 26 August.
Rainfall across Laos is expected to range between 60 and 100 mm, with isolated areas potentially receiving more than 200 mm. The intense precipitation is expected to trigger flooding, landslides, and mudslides, posing significant risks to infrastructure, including transportation networks and power facilities.
