Typhoon Bavi has become a powerful storm and is moving across the Yellow sea towards parts of South and North Korea.
Heavy rain and strong winds will impact South Korea and western Japan. Bavi is forecast to continue strengthening and is expected to pass the west coast of Jeju Island before tracking further across the Yellow sea toward the North Korean peninsula with wind speeds building to 100-130mph.
The Korea Meteorological Administration are monitoring the situation citing there are many factors that could affect the strength and direction of the storm in the next hours and days.
