Hurricane in Mexico
Hurricane Dean made landfall earlier on 21 August around 08:30 local time on the East coast of the Yucatan Peninsula near Costa Maya, about 65 km East-North-East of Chetumal in Mexico. When hitting Mexico, Hurricane Dean was classified a category 5 cyclone. 11 people were reported dead.

Acquired: 22/08/2007 Sediments from rivers such as the Claura, Patuca and Chapagua travelled as far as 40km, as seen on this image captured by MODIS two days after Dean hovered north of the coast of Honduras.
