Flood in Colombia

South America, Colombia has been hit by devastating floods. Rainfall has ramped up considerably over the past 2 weeks, with 5 major dams nearing critical levels. Latest reports indicate significant damage to infrastructure and agriculture with the current floods directly affecting over 2 million people. The governors of some affected departments are reporting that this year’s flooding is worse than last year’s inundations, and the cumulative toll has risen to 410 people dead with 482 others missing.
