Description of the event

Chile and Argentina are on red alert and preparing for the possible eruption of Hudson Volcano. Numerous evacuations have already taken place. Seismic activity has triggered avalanches in the area, officials are preparing for a major eruption.

A column of gas and white ash reaching 1.5km into the air has been observed, the outpouring of lava has currently not been found.

The pyroclastic flow could affect a radius of 15 to 25 km depending on the magnitude. The eruption could take place in hours.
