Flood in Russian Federation
A cyclone has caused flash flooding in the Tuapse district of Krasnodar region in southern Russia. More than 360 people have been evacuated and two casualties have been reported.
19 communities in Tuapse are reported to be affected, with a further 6 more in Apsheronsk district. It is estimated that more than 72 thousand people may be affected by the flood.
The flooding has caused damage to hundreds of buildings, affected power supplies to thousands of homes and blocked railway lines. A bridge on the highway into Sochi collapsed, disrupting access to the city.
