On 19th of March 2019, the International Charter 'Space and Major Disasters' was activated in response to flooding in Indonesia. This marks the 600th activation of the Charter since it became operational in November 2000.

The Charter will continue to provide space-based data and information in support of response efforts during emergencies caused by major disasters worldwide.
