Los incendios en Portugal

Forest fires completely surrounded the city of Coimbra, about 200 kilometers north of Lisbon, destroying dozens of houses on the outskirts of the city and forcing residents to evacuate the area. Portugal requested and received assistance from Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Germany (waterbombardiers and ground units). The Charter was activated to provide support to the European firefighting effort.
