Floods in Pakistan

A week of torrential rain and record snowfall caused hundreds of deaths in Pakistan since 9 February 2005. There were at least 25 people reported dead 10 February when a dam on the southwest coast burst. Near Pasni, on the Baloutchistan coast, 300 km west of Karachi, the Shadi Kor dam burst as a result of a week of torrential rain. It caused the deaths of at least 25 people with many more having been reported missing according to authorities on 11 February.
